Hello! I am Stacey Whitney, founder of WordsFound, a LeadsNearby content company. When I was a teenager, which was a long time ago before they invented career counselors, I wanted to grow up to become a poet. Though my liberal arts education at Smith College did include a poetry class, I decided on the more practical major of Elementary Education. Why? Because it allowed me to learn a little bit about a lot of things, and because I get great satisfaction from helping people.

A few quick decades later, I wear many hats; I am a wife, a mother of two teenagers, a piano teacher, an amateur songwriter, an avid yet extremely amateur tennis player, and of course, a writer. Though I didn’t grow up to become a poet, creating a content company has allowed me to combine practicality and passion as I help others communicate their thoughts, knowledge and talents with written words.
